Terms of Use

By creating an account you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short, and the first section is the one that matters.

Read this part

Wheelhouse is not investment advice. It reads your brokerage account and shows you arithmetic about it. It does not recommend trades, does not know your circumstances, and is not a broker, a financial adviser, or a fiduciary. Every decision you make using it is yours.

What Wheelhouse does

Wheelhouse connects to a brokerage account you already have, reads it, and presents analysis of your options positions — grouping related trades into cycles, separating option premium from share price movement, and listing contracts you could sell. That is the whole of it.

Wheelhouse never places an order. It requests read and market data permission only, and holds no authority to buy, sell, modify or cancel anything. Every trade you make, you make yourself, at your broker.

Options carry risk

Options are not suitable for every investor and can lose money quickly. Selling a cash-secured put obliges you to buy shares at the strike price regardless of how far the stock has fallen. Selling a covered call caps your upside and does not protect your downside. Assignment can happen early and without warning. You can lose more than the premium you collected, and in some circumstances more than you expected to risk.

Before trading options you should read the standardised options risk disclosure your broker provides, usually titled Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options.

Figures are not guaranteed

Every number in Wheelhouse is derived from data supplied by your broker and by market data vendors. That data can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong, and our calculations can contain errors. Annualised returns describe a rate, not a prediction, and assume a repetition that may not happen. Past results describe what happened and promise nothing.

Check anything that matters against your broker before acting on it. Your broker's records, not ours, are authoritative about your account.

Your account

Your broker connection

You authorise Wheelhouse to read your brokerage account through your broker's own authorisation flow. You may revoke that authorisation at any time, from Wheelhouse or from your broker, and revoking it at your broker works even if Wheelhouse is unavailable.

Your relationship with your broker is governed by your agreement with them, not by this one. Wheelhouse is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any broker.

What you may not do

If you think you have found a security flaw, tell us rather than exploiting it, and we will not pursue you for looking.

Availability

Wheelhouse is provided as-is, with no promise that it will be available, accurate, or uninterrupted. It is a private beta and may change, break, or stop. We may suspend or end an account that is being used to harm the service or other people.

Do not depend on Wheelhouse being reachable at a moment that matters. An expiry you need to manage is your responsibility and your broker's, not this software's.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Wheelhouse and its operator are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including from data that was wrong, delayed, or missing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time, which disconnects your broker and destroys your data as described in the Privacy Policy. The sections about liability and about market data survive.

Changes and governing law

We will give notice by email before a material change takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States.
